High-frequency furnace and intermediate-frequency furnace are both types of induction furnaces. They are both induction furnaces. Their points and advantages are still different. Below, I will briefly introduce the difference between intermediate-frequency furnaces and high-frequency furnaces.

The intermediate frequency furnace is a power supply device that converts the power frequency 50HZ alternating current into the intermediate frequency (300HZ and above to 1000HZ), which is widely used in the smelting of non-ferrous and ferrous metals. Its points are:

The melting speed is fast, the power saving effect is good, the burning loss is less, and the energy consumption is low.

Self-stirring function, smelting temperature and metal composition are uniform.

Electric heating work environment is good.

Good start-up performance, both empty and full furnaces can reach 100% start-up.

The heating speed of the high-frequency furnace is fast, and the speed can be adjusted and controlled.

It is easy to install and can be used after connecting the power supply, induction coil and water inlet and outlet pipes. It is small in size, light in weight and easy to use.

Wide heating, can heat a variety of metal workpieces.

The power is controllable. When heating, the power can be adjusted to meet the needs of different heating temperatures and speeds.

Less power consumption, about 70% less power than the old-fashioned tube high-frequency equipment, the smaller the workpiece, the less power consumption.

The different advantages of high frequency furnace and intermediate frequency furnace:

The frequency of the power supply is: 150~10000HZ is an intermediate frequency furnace, and a high frequency furnace is above 10000HZ; the higher the frequency, the lower the heat penetration capacity, so you can choose a suitable power supply according to the size of the material, the size of the material is large. Low frequency can be selected, and high frequency can be selected for small material size.

The frequency of the intermediate frequency furnace is low and the projection depth of the current is deep, so it is widely used in warm forging or smelting. It is suitable for smelting large pieces. The relative speed will be slow, but the smelting of some rare metals, due to the low magnetic permeability, will also use high Frequency stove.

The high-frequency furnace has a high working frequency, and is generally used for surface quenching, smelting small parts, welding, etc., and the relative speed is fast.

The intermediate frequency furnace is large in size and mature in technology; the high-frequency furnace is small in size, fast in operation and cheap in price.

The intermediate frequency furnace has a hardening depth of 2 to 10 mm, and the main application range is for parts that require a deep hardened layer; the high frequency furnace has a hardening depth of 0.5 to 2 mm.

The intermediate frequency furnace is suitable for smelting various metals ranging from five kilograms to sixty tons; the high frequency furnace is suitable for smelting precious metals up to five kilograms.

In summary, the intermediate frequency furnace has the advantages of low energy consumption, good power saving, good start-up performance, uniform melting of metal, etc., and is suitable for smelting large objects. It is suitable for items with small melting volume, as well as welding and surface quenching.

Intermediate frequency furnaces and high frequency furnaces are different, so be careful when using them.
