KGPS intermediate frequency furnace power supply is a kind of power supply device that converts AC power of 50HZ into IF (more than 300HZ to 20KHZ according to the frequency size of induction furnace), converts three-phase IF AC power, after rectification, into DIRECT current, and then converts DC power into adjustable IF current, which is supplied by the capacitor and induction coil. Through IF AC power, high-density magnetic field lines are generated in the induction circle and cut off the metal material filled in the induction circle to produce large eddy currents in the metal material.
Eddy currents also have some of the properties of intermediate frequency currents, i.e., the metal’s own free electrons flow through a resistive metal body and generate heat. For example, a metal cylinder with alternating medium frequency current is placed in the induction coil of an electric induction furnace. The metal cylinder is not in direct contact with the induction coil, and the temperature of the electric coil is very low, but the surface of the metal cylinder is heated red and even melts the metal, and the speed of metal heating can be achieved by adjusting the size of the current and the strength of the frequency. If the metal cylinder is placed in the center of the coil, the temperature around the metal cylinder is the same, and the heating and melting of the metal cylinder will not produce harmful gas or strong light to pollute the environment.
