What Equipment Does a Mini Steel Bar Production Line Contains?

Author : Hongteng Time: 2023-07-06

A mini steel bar production line typically consists of several pieces of equipment that work together to produce steel bars with a diameter ranging from 6.5 to 32mm. Typically, it is suitable for the production line with a capacity of 0.5 – 5 tons each day.

The specific equipment required may vary depending on the size and capacity of the production line. However, there are some common pieces of equipment in the steel bar production line.

Furnace

The furnace is typically a melting furnace that uses electric or gas heating to melt the raw materials, which usually consist of scrap metal and other alloys. The liquid steel is then poured into the casting machine to create the desired shape and size of steel bars.

A new advanced industrial melting furnace is applied to the metallurgy industry. It is an induction melting furnace. An induction melting furnace is a type of furnace used for melting metals and alloys using induction heating. Induction heating is a process where an electromagnetic field is used to create heat within a metal or other conductive material. The electromagnetic field is generated by an induction coil, which is usually made of copper tubing. When an alternating current is passed through the coil, it creates a magnetic field that induces electric currents, or “eddy currents,” within the metal being melted. These eddy currents create heat within the metal, causing it to melt.

Casting Machine

The casting machine is used to pour the molten steel into molds to create the desired shape and size of the steel bars. There are several types of casting machines, including continuous casting machines, which can produce steel bars in a continuous process, and static casting machines, which produce steel bars in batches.

Rolling Mill

The rolling mill is used to shape the steel bars into the desired dimensions and reduce their cross-sectional area. There are several types of rolling mills, including hot rolling mills, which are used to produce steel bars at high temperatures, and cold rolling mills, which are used to produce steel bars at room temperature.

Cutting Machine

The cutting machine cuts the steel bars to the desired length. There are several types of cutting machines, including flying saws, which use a rotating blade to cut the steel bars as they move along the production line, and stationary saws, which cut the steel bars after they have been cooled on the cooling bed.

Cooling Bed

The cooling bed is used to cool the steel bars after they have been rolled to the desired size and shape. The cooling bed can be a long, flat surface that allows the steel bars to cool down gradually as they move along the bed.

Packing Machine

The packing machine is used to package the finished steel bars for storage and transport. The packaging can vary depending on the type of steel bars being produced and the requirements of the customer.

In addition to these main pieces of equipment, other auxiliary equipment may be included in a mini steel bar production line. For example, conveyor belts, cranes, and lifting equipment may be used to move the raw materials and finished products around the production line. Quality control equipment, such as testing machines and measuring devices, may also be needed to ensure that the finished steel bars meet the required specifications and standards.
